Neos Pyrgos - Evia
The region offers various possibilities for activity such as mountain walks, sailing, mountain hiking, cycling, fishing and horse riding. The visitors can also have fun with watersports and outdoor activities like football, basketball and volleyball on the beach.
South to Neos Pyrgos is Nisiotissa, a fabulous beach where just a few meters from the beach, is a little island, since the period of the Venice domination. Neos Pyrgos with easy access from Athens (2,5 hours) and also from northern and Central Greece, is an ideal destination for either short trips, or long vacations.
If you are coming from Athens, we suggest you to follow the highway route through Αrkitsa with the ferry-boat (at the 150th Km of the National Highway from Athens to Lamia). Alternatively you can come through Chalkida by car (a distance of ca. 230 Km.) where you can enjoy a wonderful drive through mountains full of forests and green valleys.
If you are coming from Northern or Central Greece, we suggest you to come through the port of Glyfa with the ferry-boat (90th Km on the Highway from Larissa to Athens).
